What Kounouk is

Kounouk is a directory where local providers list their businesses and services and customers contact them. Agreements, prices, payments and the services themselves are between the customer and the provider. Kounouk is not a party to them and does not guarantee the quality, safety or legality of any service.

Your account

You must be at least 16 to use Kounouk, and at least 18 to publish a listing. Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

If you publish a listing

• Your listing must describe a real business or service that you are allowed to offer, with true contact details and prices.
• You need the right to use every photo and text you upload.
• You are responsible for any licences, permits and taxes your business needs.
• Contact numbers you add are shown to signed-in members so customers can reach you.
• A listing you have not edited or renewed for 30 days is hidden automatically. We email you 14, 7 and 3 days before, and you can put it back online from your dashboard.

Not allowed

• Scams, false or misleading listings, or asking for payment for something you will not provide.
• Illegal goods or services, or anything dangerous.
• Fake reviews, reviewing your own business, or offering rewards for reviews.
• Spam, harassment, hate or sexual content, or pretending to be someone else.
• Collecting other members’ details to contact them for unrelated purposes.

Reviews

Reviews must describe your own real experience. Each member can review a listing once. We may remove reviews that break these terms, but we do not remove honest reviews because they are negative.

Featured placements and badges

• A Featured placement is paid promotion. Featured listings appear first and are always marked "Featured".
• The price, payment method and number of days are agreed with Kounouk before the placement starts. The placement runs from the day we switch it on.
• If we cannot provide a placement you paid for because of a problem on our side, we will extend it or refund the unused days.
• If we remove a listing for breaking these terms, unused Featured days are not refunded.
• The "Verified" badge means only that Kounouk checked the contact details. It is not a guarantee of the business or its work.

Reports and removal

Anyone signed in can report a listing. We may hide or remove listings, reviews or messages, and suspend or close accounts, that break these terms or put others at risk.

Stay safe

Meet in public places, check the item or service before you pay, and never send money in advance to someone you have not met. If something seems wrong, report the listing.

Our responsibility

We work to keep Kounouk available and accurate, but it is provided as it is, without promises that it will always be available or error-free. As far as the law allows, Kounouk is not responsible for losses that come from dealings between members, or from content that members publish.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms. If we make important changes, we will update the date above and tell members on the site. You can stop using Kounouk and delete your account from your dashboard at any time.
